I just looked in a mirror, tried to figure the image out, and went from quiet to silent. We're always inevitably adding meaning to everything we have... and I think mirrors are a good place to put it.
Pupil means "little doll" in Roman because doll-like reflections of yourself can be seen in anyone's pupils you look into. Sometimes I can look at myself now and actually see a child, and it makes me feel both more and less real at the same time.
