04.23.06 - 3:22 p.m. I dreamt that I was on a beach the size of a shoebox, standing next to someone else. This dream was sepia and coated in dust. The other person bent down and grabbed the edge of the ocean. It was lapping at our feet and the edge of the shoebox like an old blanket. Then he gave it one good shake and let go, and it undulated for miles, sending all the dust that had piled up on its surface drifting back onto the beach and ourselves and glimmering in the light. The sea was found to be blue and shiny underneath, and WET. Generations had lived and died without knowing!
